My Students

Aloha! The group of students that will benefit from the generosity of those who contribute to meeting our goal are 20 hardworking and eager soon to be 5th graders. This will be my second year as their teacher and I'm so proud of the gains that they have already made in learning and growing as students.

Over the past year, this group of students have shown an eagerness and motivation to learn that I am so very impressed with, and I want to feed that desire to learn with new ways to meet their commitment to learning in the coming year.

They love to be challenged, and being allowed to learn in new and unique ways peaks their interest and keeps them excited. I am continually looking for ways to integrate new materials and technology into their learning as our school is VERY limited to what students are exposed to.

My Project

The addition of books that are near , on, and above my students levels of reading will help to stimulate their interest in the content they will be learning. I will be looping with the same students I taught in 4th grade, and they are very eager and excited to have new books that support what they are learning about.

By providing new books for students to read in the classroom, they will continually have a hands on way to learn and revisit the new ideas and concepts presented, feeding their excitement for literature.

These items are also needed to best meet their needs providing books that meet their reading levels and challenge their thinking.
