Help me give my students a Growth Mindset Paperback Library, a Help Yourself Book Bins Set, a Space Theme Book Library, and a Teacher Favorites Book Set.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is made up of excited seven and eight-year-old students who love to come to school! They are eager learners and they are excited about what they can learn each day. My students come from low-income families who have very little money for extras. They have very few books at home. I want my students to have the opportunity to read many different types of books. Most of my students never get the chance to visit a public library, so I want to provide them with a variety of choices at school.
My Project
Books can take us places, teach us concepts and entertain us as readers. I want my students to be able to grow as readers by reading books from different genres. I want to encourage them to read whenever they can.
I want them to read about topics that will impact their lives in the future.
Topics like Robots, Space, Recycling, and how to overcome challenges that they may face one day. It would also be fantastic to have a place to store new books for students to be able to easily access.
I would like to be able to read some "Teacher Favorites" to my students. I really need new books to add to my teacher read aloud collection. I would greatly appreciate receiving these books for my students.
