Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am beginning a new teaching adventure at a Title I school. My students come to school eager to learn and excited to be in a place where they are safe and know they are loved. 100% of the students at our school receive a free lunch and breakfast. The challenges my students face outside of school are many, but they come in each morning ready to learn and this ignites my passion for their success!

Although difficulties outside of school can impact their ability to learn, my students are resilient and committed to making the most out of their learning.

Their smiles brighten my day and remind me that with the right attitude anything is possible.

My Project

I am asking for Montessori materials that will help my students to work more hands-on and in groups. These items will allow students to have to work together while building certain things. The Play-Doh, sensory items, and building kits will help students to become successful and eager learners. These materials will help make learning meaningful and help teach my students the positive benefits of seeking helping from their peers.

My students will learn so much from their peers with these items.

They will learn how to use their hands, their imagination, and work with others to build figures, building, etc.
