Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Montessori has hands on materials, focusing on the concrete to the abstract. Having realistic animals will help their learning, being able to see what we are learning about. We go over parts of an animal or the categories such as reptile or birds. Students practice practical life activities, this helps with their fine motor skills. Using the glass dropper or chop sticks helps with their hand writing, building the strength needed for using a pencil. Puzzles are a great way for students to practice their language skills. Having puzzles with opposites and rhyming words will help and it is fun for them to solve. Adding books in the classroom is also important, we either I'm reading to the whole class or listening to them read a story to me.
All these recourses will be so incredibly helpful and supportive in their learning.
