Monotype Printmaking: Colorful Reflections and Impressions
Help me give my students the experience of monotype printmaking - a process that includes watercolor painting and printmaking. This traditional medium teaches students about mathematical reflection, how to embrace the unexpected, and how to keep on trying!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredibly curious, thoughtful, insightful and endlessly creative, and enterprising. They will be learning about printmaking, what it means to create multiples, and its roots and influence in the industrial revolution and in cultural commodities. Students will explore the possibilities of color and texture by painting on smooth plates and printing and reprinting their images onto cotton paper using a press. Students will gain hands-on experience with a variety of tools, application techniques, and will be empowered to create artworks in multiple, to share, to sell, or to keep. Thank you for your support!
