Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school was opened as an alternative site for low-income and English-learner students. 1/3 of our students are classified as English-language learners, according to the California Department of Ed. About 90 % of our students qualify for free and reduced meals.

These students are some of the neediest, yet hardest workers in the district.

Our students come from single and multiple family homes and some live in shelters. Most do not have access to school-related necessities that will help them calm down or actively engaged during activities.

My Project

These materials already have it's rightful owner. It just needs to be funded and delivered to it's owner. My students are super sporty and energetic. My students have been borrowing and asking for sports related items from other teachers and peers and I feel sad that I am not able to provide them with the items. The basketball will go towards my students who wants to be future Koby Bryant and Shaq. Majority of my students are in soccer teams and would like the extra practice at school, so the soccer balls will go to these students. With the football season in town, my students are always pretend-playing that they are making a touchdown. The tennis sets are for the students who likes to do something else besides football, soccer, and basketball.

The donations to this project will help my students actively engage in the right physical education they desire.

If we have the right tools to implement physical education, then we will achieve our sporty dreams. These materials will be used to help my students practice for their future games. My students will not have to pretend-play throwing a football anymore. To make my students wishes and pretend-play come true, I really need your help! Thank you ahead of time for your time and help.
