Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic 9, and 10 year old fourth graders. They are curious and enjoy learning new things every day. They enjoy reading books and writing about their discoveries. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. As a result, my students are often affected by the challenges in and out of the classroom.

Despite all the current challenges associated with school closures, my students attend Zoom class every day eager to learn.

However, they do become restless and easily distracted throughout the day. Even so, they are resilient and hard-working.

My Project

The gift card from Teachers-Pay-Teachers will give my students access to interactive templates, created by teachers, that will encourage student participation in multiple subject matter. The templates can be modified to meet my students needs and saved for future use. These templates will help students organize the information they learn from the history of California to analyzing literature read in class.

I will use the new screen to enhance my engagement with students as they interact with the curriculum while they learn from home.

I will use my home computer to share the teaching content, while keeping an eye on student interaction on the new screen. This will help me build a stronger relationship with my students to further encourage participation and learning.
