My Project
In today’s digital classroom, students rely heavily on Chromebooks and laptops to complete assignments, conduct research, collaborate with peers, and engage in multimedia learning. However, the limited screen size of these devices often restricts productivity, makes multitasking difficult, and can cause eye strain during extended use. To help our students reach their full academic potential, we are seeking portable monitor screen extenders that can be easily connected to their existing devices.
These extenders will provide a dual-screen setup, allowing students to view instructional materials on one screen while actively working on another, mirroring the tech-forward environments they will encounter in higher education and the workforce.
This addition to our classroom technology will significantly enhance learning outcomes. Students will be able to better manage their time and attention by reducing the need to constantly switch between tabs and windows. With more screen space, they can take notes while watching a science demonstration, compare texts for a literature analysis, or collaborate on writing projects while referencing their research. This dual-monitor setup also supports students with learning differences or visual processing challenges by creating a more organized and accessible workspace. In addition, it fosters greater efficiency and engagement during group work, project-based learning, and independent research.
By equipping our students with monitor screen extenders, we are not only improving their day-to-day classroom experience, but also helping them develop essential 21st-century skills. This project is part of our broader mission to empower students with tools that enhance focus, build digital literacy, and prepare them for a future driven by technology.
