Help me give my students what they need for their mini-society. They will learn how to manage their money and start their own businesses. My students need ink, paper and materials to help their community flourish.

My Students

We are a small school in a big, urban city. We have a very supportive community and work hard to keep our children our focus. What we lack in funding we make up for by working hard as a community.

We are a multiracial, multiethnic classroom of energetic learners who attend a small community based public school on the rise!

We are as diverse as any population could be with a supportive community environment but we are always struggling to find ways to fund the things that we need to succeed and excel.

My Project

My students work hard to be active citizens in our classroom community. We have our own currency which the students design and produce to use in our mini-society. We will use this added support to purchase a few more small items for our class, name tags for running their businesses, and additional materials to create products.

Students learn how to manage their money by applying for class jobs, earning salaries and paying taxes.

They will use their money to purchase small items they want, like their own sharpeners, wallets, fancy pens, squishies, while they pay rent, keep jobs and may start their own businesses as well. These materials will help my students to manage their money and become more aware of how money works. They will also have more real world experiences with money and managing it which is missing in many of their lives today.
