My Project

My students are enthusiastic learners who love to explore new ideas. They ask great questions, work hard, and light up when they get to use tools and games to solve problems together. As a 2/3 combination class, they each bring different levels of math experience, but they all benefit from meaningful, hands-on practice that builds conceptual understanding.

In our room, the goal is to make learning active, collaborative, and joyful.

These manipulatives and resources will help ensure that every student—whether they are building foundational number sense or stretching into multi-digit multiplication, gets what they need to succeed.

To support scaffolded instruction and student independence in our math block, I’m requesting: Magnetic coins and dollars to model money concepts during whole-group instruction and support small group work. Hands-on math games that reinforce skills in addition, subtraction, place value, and money. A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase differentiated, standards-based resources such as math centers, number talks, and intervention supports tailored to each grade level. These tools will allow me to provide visual models during instruction and create engaging, level-appropriate centers and games. Students will be able to use the manipulatives during independent practice and small groups, making abstract concepts easier to understand and retain.

Without manipulatives, it’s challenging to support a wide range of learners at once. These materials will help me break down complex ideas, offer targeted support, and give students the tools they need to develop true mathematical thinking. Your generosity will give my students the resources they need to build confidence, independence, and a love for learning math.
