My Project

How to teach 4-Year-Olds the importance of money, budget and finances? Set up an Imagination Station that lets them learn through play. My Littles love to play with the plastic coins during Math Centers - they count them, weigh them, sort them and use them to pay for food in our pretend "restaurant". Weather Dragons Love Taco's, or Green Eggs and Ham, From the Garden or Give a Mouse a Cookie... Whatever you like "to eat", you need to go shopping for the mixings & fixings to get started.

Imagine a Farmers Market, or a Bakery, a Lemonade, Popcorn or Shaved Ice stand = It's Financial Awareness 101 for 4-Year-Olds... and I can't think of a better way to facilitate their imaginations, than to have a freestanding farmers market stall for them to practice buying, selling or trading for the ingredients to make the perfect meal and learn how commerce works.
