Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our second graders learn all about money. I have included learning materials such as Lakeshore Money Equivalency Puzzles and Lakeshore Money Practice Cards so that the children can practice using money in centers around the classroom. I have also included kid friendly books such as Little Critter: Just Saving My Money and One Cent, Two Cents, Old Cent, New Cent in hopes that my children relate to the books and understand money better.

I have included games such as, NewPath Money Learning Center Game and Lakeshore Money Bingo so that children can practice using money in a fun and interactive way.

Lastly, I have include a vary of toys such as 20PCS Starhig Light Up Spinning Tops , Manmel 50 Pcs Foam Gliders Planes , 40 Pack Mini Fidget Spinner Soccer Ball, and a few more so that I can restock our classroom treasure box. Our behavior system allows students to purchase items with points earned through their behavior. This system allows students to understand spending and saving points which go hand in hand with spending and saving money.
