Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting books, place value mats, and money kits for my students. These tools are essential for my students to gain knowledge for financial literacy. My second graders can use the money kits to help them understand the value of money and how it can apply to them in the real world. We will use these kits during our math lessons to help apply the knowledge of money. I am also requesting books that have stories about money, saving and spending. These books can teach my students very valuable lessons towards financial literacy.
My goal for this project is to get these tools so my students can have hands-on tools to help them learn about money and finance.
The books will also be great for our read alouds and would be good to use during math time. With your support, these items will impact their learning greatly.
