My Students

My high school math classroom is a place of real-world applications and discovery. Students spend the year learning math and also applying it to real world situations in every unit. They take these valuable skills into the real world with a appreciation of the value of math as a tool in the world after high school.

The students are 9th-12th graders from a small town in Idaho.

They are often less than excited to explore the world of math. Through modernizing the classroom with interactive real world lessons and a goal to go paperless via electronic devices their attention and the the environment will both be enhanced. They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.

My Project

We were lucky to be funded to receive a few tablets recently, we want to be sure they last so we found some covers to help with longevity.

With the Tablets, students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not.

Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and see the application of high school info in the world.
