My Students

Our diverse student body comes from five different elementary schools from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Our students come to school excited to learn and connect with their peers. Our students are fun, friendly, kind and considerate, where everyone belongs.

The library media center is open before school, during break, lunch and after school in addition to the school day.

The library offers desktops, Chromebooks, classroom textbooks, literature, and a reference section in addition to a fully stocked library of age appropriate reading material to meet the needs of our voracious readers. The library also offers quiet spots to drop into a beanbag and escape into a beloved book.

My Project

We have growing bodies and minds in middle school. Students could benefit from more flexible age appropriate seating. The tall tables and the bar stools would advance us in this second phase of updating our library into a modern media center.

We would like to transform our library with updated tables and flexible seating that promote focus and concentration.

The library is a quiet place that allows students time to access the internet, work on homework assignments and projects, study and find a new genre to enjoy.

The addition of these new tables and stools would also demonstrate to the school and community, that a once quaint library can be revitalized.
