My Project

I want to read modern day books for my modern day students. I love the diversity of my students. It is one of our classroom strengths. I want to share good books that have characters that look and sound like my students. When my students read stories that have diverse and interesting characters, they read more. When my students read stories that reflect our diverse times, they understand more. Books with diverse characters and diverse themes can empower my students to appreciate who they are and how their stories matter.
