My Project

Our district students attend a public high school, and most of our students, approximately fifty percent, are considered low-income. We are a small urban school district of less than one thousand students, and many of our students are open enrollment, leading to less funding from the state.

We have a diverse population of students, as many students from the big city seek our school for greater opportunities.

When given the right tools, our students are excited to learn and grow.

This class addresses the musical styles of interest to students in our school population. They will learn how to sing and play guitar, bass, piano, and drums to hold their own in whatever contemporary musical setting they want to try.
