My Students

My students come from various socio-economic backgrounds. We are in a rural county in South Carolina. Several students had damage from the recent hurricanes. We are limited in our resources and need your help in making science more engaging. I want to help my students by providing the best resources to help them be successful. Emerging scientists need the best resources to enhance their learning process. With these posters and models students will be better able to visualize and master tough concepts.

My Project

Students often have a difficult time learning complex science concepts, cellular structures and processes. Having visually stimulating diagrams, posters, and models will help students better grasp these concepts.

The magnetic cell models will allow for display of these structures on the magnetic board, students will also be allowed to come up and use these resources to practice learning cell structures.

Students find genetics and heredity very challenging and having models and better visuals will help students connect the dots. Students frequently confuse mitosis and meiosis and these posters and models will make the differences very obvious for students and address misconceptions.
