I have a lively group of first grade students! Our county is classified as high poverty on every google search. We are a Title I school. There isn't any industry in the area. Access to academic resources outside of the school are very limited.
Most of our students come to us with very little exposure to real life experiences due to the fact that the county resources are so limited.
We are required to expose them to so much, but without technology, that can be impossible. These kids are eager to learn but do not have the necessary tools.
My students need a license for Moby Max for the rest of the year. We are new to Moby Max, and we love it. The state department recently upped the bar 13% for first grade students in our state. We were performing too good, so they raised the standards on us. It’s challenging to say the least in the middle of the year, but we are regrouping and working through it. Moby Max is amazing resource that I can whole group, in centers on our kindles, during interventions, in computer, at home, and they have printables. I love that I can assign students different skills, so we are all getting what we need to meet these new goals- at home and at school. It’s fun for the kids, so they love doing it and it’s teaching them so much and reinforcing all of the skills we work on all day— in all subjects!
I’m so excited about this, but our subscription ends March 1st, so we are hoping to get this project funded rather quickly!
