My Students

I have two classrooms with children in grades 3 through. I teach students who have autism spectrum disorder and are classified as highly intensive. Several of my students are non-verbal and use either iPads or a picture exchange communication system (PECS) to communicate their wants and needs. Two of my students are bilingual and several qualify for free and reduced lunches.

My students are all learning at different levels.

They are mostly functioning at a kindergarten level but several are performing at a first-grade level.

My Project

I teach two classrooms with 11-students in each. My students have autism spectrum disorder and need the ability to see the curriculum up on a projector screen for better access. Because I have two classes, I need the ability to roll my single projector and laptop using a rolling media cart into each classroom.

Having this media cart will give me the ability to present the curriculum so that everyone can see it.

My students need the capability to access the curriculum using technology. Having a media cart will give me this capability to use technology in each classroom. This will help with ensuring on-task behavior and engagement.
