This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Technology has opened new windows in today's classrooms. We are able to incorporate digital aspects that make it so much easier to reach each student. The connectivity opens up a world of opportunities for the modern day classroom. I have had the priviledge of a Promethean board in my class for years along with the use of a digital camera. These resources are great but unfortunately I am stuck at a central location in the front of my classroom.

I would love to be a mobile teacher.

Being able to work out problems from the back of my room or in the center helping to clarify skills. Math is a subject that students learn by observing, practicing, and application. The mobility of a tablet will allow more flexibility to move around the classroom while monitoring my students progress or lack thereof. I no longer want to be stuck at the front of the classroom. I have wanted a tablet for years and have finally figured out what would work best for the interactive board in my classroom. I am so excited for the opportunity to be mobile.
