My students need a sturdy, reliable, storage system for housing all of our classroom library and leveled reading books. Our classroom is very small and a mobile library would work best in the environment.

My Students
My students are 3rd graders with various special needs and learning difficulties. Although my students may learn in different ways than many of their peers, they are still perfectly capable of learning and enjoying the process of growing academically.
Students in my room bring such a beautiful and unique presence to my 3rd grade classroom.
I believe that they deserve and would greatly benefit from all the best materials and supplies offered to them. Students with learning disabilities sometimes require environmental accommodations and modifications. This book shelf would be a great start!
My Project
A mobile bookshelf for our classroom library will make a significant difference in my classroom. This bookshelf will house all of my leveled readers, in an organized and very accessible manner. The bookshelf currently being utilized in my room is an Ikea bookshelf that is 5 years old, very worn, and taped together again and again. I have specific students who know how to assist in putting the shelves together, when they fall apart. This is almost a daily occurrence.
Anyone who has ever worked with children, realizes that environment is everything.
If the environment a child is working and learning is feels welcoming, inviting, and most of all, organized, students naturally feel more comfortable and therefore their academic and behavioral performance is greatly improved.
