Mobile Learning Leads to Engaged Students!

Help me give my students a mobile teaching easel with a magnetic write and wipe surface on each side to increase engagement in daily lessons and small group instruction.

My Students

I have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of second graders this year. I teach an AIG cluster class. Most of my students work above grade level and are challenged to meet their full potential every day.

My students are not only extremely intelligent, but are also caring, funny, unique, and creative.

They are awesome! I am so glad that I get the chance to spend time with them each day, and I hope that I make a positive difference in their lives.

My Project

Having an easel in my classroom will make a huge difference in my students' learning. They will be able to gather around the easel so that we can do shared writing activities, make anchor charts, and engage in lessons for the whole class. Learning takes place all over the classroom, so being able to move the easel around is important. The easel I chose is magnetic, has rings to hold anchor charts, and has a storage area underneath the board.

Students will be able to interact with their classmates by coming up to the easel and sharing their writing and ideas.

The easel will be used during whole group and small group instruction. Students could even use the easel during independent work. Sharing ideas and working together is at the heart of learning!
