Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Iteration is one of the most vital skills for STEM and engineering students because it requires analytical thinking and centers the idea that design is a cycle that never ends.
However, when students are creating and iterating rigorously, they use MORE materials rather than LESS – even when following materials protocols like "take only what you need" and "make ONE prototype before you create multiples or sets".
This project requests materials to reduce constraints on student creativity so their cycles of iteration are unblocked.
With Nicpro 6 Colors Large Bulk Acrylic Paint Set (128 oz, 1 Gallon), students will have more paint more primary colors, so they will practice color theory to mix unique colors using plastic Paint Tray Palettes.
With CANARY Corrugated Cardboard Scissors 8.5", Heavy Duty Craft Scissors and Titanium Scissors, students will cut cardboard more safely, and fabricate curved shapes more easily, allowing for greater imagination in shapes.
Students will also use AmazonCommercial 2-Ply White Adapt-a-Size Kitchen Paper Towels help students keep spaces clean. With the Powerextra Upgraded 9.6v 3600mAh Replacement Battery and Hanaix 1.2V-18V Battery Charger, students can use a donated handheld circular saw under adult supervision.
