My Project
The goal of our PE program is to equip our students with skills and knowledge to live a physically active lifestyle. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and for many of them, PE is the best part of their day. Over the years we have began to notice that our students really enjoy learning lifelong activities that can do even once they become adults. Unfortunately, most of our PE equipment is mainly for team sports.
Adding this equipment will help us incorporate more lifelong activities into our PE curriculum.
The skills they learn could be used for many years to come not only in PE but in their home life as well. Approximately half of our student body is on free/reduced lunch. Adding this equipment would give all our students the chance to be exposed to activities that they might not be otherwise.
This equipment would allow us to set up stations/backyard games for our students to participate in. Stations could be but are not limited to: four square, four square badminton, spikeball, Kan-Jam, Four square volleyball, etc. These would be lifelong games students could take home and share at family gatherings, picnics, and participate in for years to come.
