This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn. They come to school every day looking for new challenges. I like to think of them as little sponges ready to soak up everything I teach them.

My students attend an inner city school in southern California.

They come from a low socioeconomic background. Violence in the neighborhood is all too common. But even with all of these challenges facing them, they find ways to succeed. They understand the value of a quality education. I truly believe that by introducing my students to a healthy way of living, their study habits and work habits will improve.

My Project

Music is a powerful tool in learning. My students enjoy exchanging and listening to music to embed in their video projects for a variety of school assignments. With your generous donations, my students will have a good quality headset, which will allow them to work in pairs to mix and edit music/soundtracks for their video projects. Music can bring together students and work wonders in their appreciation of cultures and diversity. They will have the means to showcase their music for school functions like the annual talent show and Winter and Spring music concerts. Furthermore, the headphones will also help them with their STEM projects when creating a videos using iMovie and be able to edit them to have the best quality sound.
