Mixing Bowls for Science Investigation

Help me give my students glass bowls that will allow them to conduct a series of investigations about what happens when matter is burned.

My Project

In our unit about metabolic reactions, we investigate what happens when we loose weight and where the fat goes when it is burned. This investigation is traditionally done as a teacher demonstration, however I would like to change the dynamic of the investigation from a teacher demonstration to a student lab.

To accomplish this, we need enough large glass bowls to house the entire set up which includes a tea candle of vegetable oil, scale for measuring mass, and a carbon dioxide meter to track the gases when the system is burned for each group.

One of my many goals as a teacher is to get the students as hands on as possible. The additional materials will bring that personal experience to each student each year.
