I teach at a K-8 school that embraces the visual and performing arts. To promote the visual arts, I teach an arts and crafts class for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. These kids are creative and love to doodle, draw, design, and decorate using different media for their works of art.
This class includes all students with a range of abilities and needs.
Everyone in the class will use the media to create beautiful pieces of art work that reflects their style and creativity. The finished products will be displayed for parents, teachers, and students to enjoy.
Adding a wide range of media will give my students an opportunity to elevate the quality of their art. They will be able to express their individuality and style using watercolor, color pencils, and acrylic paints.
It is my goal to improve their art experience.
This will be an opportunity for those who have had no experience with watercolor, color pencils, and acrylic paint to learn how to use it and for those who have had experience to build on to their talent. This will provide my students with a way to further their love for art and continue the school's vision of being a visual and performing arts school.
