This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The laptop requested will be portable to travel to all six of my elementary schools where I teach music. Our elementary music program is one of the top in the state and would like to take our students to the next level by providing audio and video recordings of each of our elementary music programs. The main goal of this project is to record our students and present their recordings at community festivals, and state events showcasing our student's talent across our district.

Our students are extremely special and have a long tradition being musically talented.

Our school district is known for our Mariachi and band at the secondary level and last year, our elementary music students were selected by our state to perform at the state convention. We received multiple compliments and many requests to perform. In many cases, our students' schedules make it difficult for them to get out of school and travel to performances. However, a recording to send to others would continue to showcase our students without any travel expenses. We believe our students can also learn the recording process during their music classes on this laptop to transfer to their technology projects personal or in their future careers.
