Mistakes Welcome: Dry Erase Boards to Build Math Confidence!

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math is a subject that requires persistence, problem-solving, and the confidence to make mistakes and learn from them. In my middle school classroom, I want to create a space where students feel safe to take risks, think critically, and engage in meaningful learning.
The magnetic dry erase boards and markers I’m requesting will make a huge difference in my students’ math learning because these simple tools allow them to work through problems using our magnetic manipulatives, erase mistakes, and refine their thinking without the fear of being “wrong” on paper.
Instead of feeling stuck, they can actively participate, collaborate with their peers, and visually see their problem-solving progress. This hands-on approach keeps them engaged and helps build their confidence, which is essential for success in math.
My goal for this project is to create an interactive, student-centered learning environment where every child feels empowered to tackle challenging math concepts. By using dry erase boards, my students will be able to practice freely, develop a growth mindset, and take ownership of their learning.
What makes my students special is their resilience and curiosity. Many of them face challenges that can make learning math intimidating, but when given the right tools, they thrive. They are eager to learn, support one another, and push themselves to improve every day. With your generosity, I can provide them with the resources they need to become confident mathematicians who embrace mistakes as part of the learning journey.
