Benjamin Franklin is credited with saying, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." We are kindergartners that learn best by being involved in our learning. What better way in today's world to be involved in our own learning than through technology?
We are kindergartners that love Tuesdays because it is our day to go to the computer lab.
We love when we are able to use iPads, but wish we could use them more. We love to learn and practice math and reading using technology. Technology makes learning fun, involves us and helps us to learn.
My Project
Having 3 more iPads with cases and headphones in our classroom will enable more students to have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning. We will use these during learning stations to help us with reading, math, writing, science and social studies. We will also be able to use them during our math time for our “Math Tubs” to help us practice our math skills such as counting, geometry, and addition and subtraction.
Having this technology in our classroom will get students excited and involved in their own learning.
It will encourage children to learn by doing and incorporate technology in a positive, helpful way to practice, reinforce and learn skills across the curriculum.
