Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The children in my class are a diverse and hard-working group of students. There is a large population of students who speak English as a second language. Many of my students come from families that have had very little exposure to modern technology.
Many of the families in our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
My students are a bright bunch with huge hearts and come to school each day to learn everything they can.
My Project
My students are an amazing group of diverse learners. Having access to technology can make the difference, for them, between high school graduates and college graduates. With the ability to offer my students an online experience they will be able to synthesize the skills that they must have to compete in our global economy. Covid-19 has curtailed our option to take students on field trips. With the iPads that I am requesting, my students will be able to "take" field trips across the globe, experience different cultures, and learn about the lives of other children that inhabit the world with them.
