Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our preschool classroom is in a lower socio-economic area. We are a special needs preschool classroom and our students have a wide range of exceptionalities. They include disabilities such as speech and language impairments, sensory impairments, cognitive delays, and social-emotional delays.
My students are exceptional and love to learn new things.
The have a true love for school and come to the classroom smiling, ready to start a new day. Each student has their own struggles, but with our help, they will be ready to take on the world!
My Project
My students are all kiddos with some exceptionalities. Each and every one of them is special and unique. Having weighted lap pads and weighted vests will help my students realize their potential and calm their bodies to make them ready to learn.
We are giving our students the gift of self regulation!
The fidget toys and timers will help students focus during lessons by giving them a job to do with their hands.
With their minds at ease, and the ability to focus, there is nothing that they can't do. They will be able to listen to stories, participate in circle time, focus during small group instruction, all thanks to their sensory needs being met by fidgets and weighted items.
