My Project

Throughout this year, my students and I have done multiple Socratic Seminars with a variety of topics. During each seminar, I have recorded on my phone our conversations (which can often go well over an hour), and a student came to me during our last one and asked if we could use this to start a podcast.

It got me thinking- my students love to talk, so why should I stop them?

Let me use that skill, and hone it and provide parents and other educators the ability to listen to what these young minds have to say about a variety of things.

As a Leader In Me school, we believe in the power of students and teachers finding their voice- starting this podcast will help me achieve this mission directly. I want to use this podcast equipment to not only record our Socratic Seminars, but to also interview students and have them provide their feedback and personal thoughts on various topics that are relevant to what we are learning and current events going on in the world.
