My Project

My students' ability and drive to learn is what I love most, even if the content is intense! With my classroom being a Targeted EL classroom, manipulatives are an important resource in our class as my students are very hands-on. However, my class is lacking many supports for my students. I want to provide a variety of resources that will allow me to help my students. For instance, having their own personal whiteboards helps students draw out their ideas when planning. Using whiteboards as a whole group, students are more engaged in their learning when they have ownership of their work! To support all my needs of my students, anchor paper will be useful when creating charts such as anchor charts, maps, tables, etc. Most importantly, Covid took a big toll on the students as they were out from school for a long period of time. My students lack many content skills that were taught within the few years. The needed supplies such as paper bin organizers, caddies, sheet protectors, and crates will help organize the students' materials for small groups, intervention blocks, and each individual student. Other supplies such as the magnetic fractions and hands-on activities will definitely be beneficial as I can use them to display on the whiteboard for whole class or even small group.
