Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will allow my students to see that people just like them write! This classroom library will always be accessible to students especially during their daily independent reading sessions. Students will be more excited to read when they have these high interest texts in front of them. These books have been chosen with my students interests and identities in mind.

Building our classroom library supports the development of my high school students literacy skills, writing skills, and overall love of reading!

These new books will allow my students access to stories that mirror their own and also expose them to windows into the stories of others. These texts will be examples on the art of writing as a craft and tool for their futures. This project will allow students develop their critical thinking skills and be a more conscious global citizens.
