Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After two years of teaching dance at a nonprofit charter school, we have loved to grow our passion for dancing. I love watching these students' confidence and skills grow. I have been able to choreograph the dances that I teach them by using the reflection in my sliding glass door at home. I would love not only to create dances, but also to have students be able to see themselves when practicing.
Students will be able to get a direct visual understanding of what the performance looks like from an audience perspective.
They’ll be able to provide self correction when they do the dance and see the beauty of synchronization.
I also love that these mirrors are glass-less, which provides a safe and cheaper alternative to accommodate our preschoolers.
