Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 6th and 7th grade students alongside my wonderful co-teacher. Our students come from a diverse array of experiences and cultures. My mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment so that each can blossom and learn to their fullest potential. This cannot be done if a child goes hungry. Students learn through socialization and access to multiple modes of learning and motivation. This project is filled with the opportunity to minimize hunger and reach student growth and love for learning.
Many students travel 45+ minutes to attend our wonderful school despite our city's budget cut, our students aim to be present and at times are hungry.
Let's keep our future leaders' momentum going thus far to increase class participation in ELA.
