My Project

Our 2nd graders are eager to explore science, engineering, and creativity through a hands-on miniature garden project!

With your support, every student will have the tools to design, build, and care for their own tiny garden — a truly hands-on STEAM experience!

In our classroom, they will learn about plant biology, ecosystems, measurement, and art along the way.

Your contribution will provide the materials we need for students to:

* Plant seeds and grow miniature gardens in small pots or containers

* Measure soil, water, and sunlight to observe plant growth

* Create labels, decorations, and garden structures, integrating art with STEM

* Conduct experiments to understand plant needs, growth patterns, and environmental impacts

A miniature garden allows students to see science in action right at their desks! They’ll engage in real-world problem solving, collaboration, and creativity. Students will:

* Develop an understanding of plant life cycles, ecosystems, and environmental science

* Practice measurement, observation, and data collection — key STEM skills

* Build fine motor skills and artistic creativity through garden design

* Experience teamwork, responsibility, and pride in creating their own living projects
