This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Some of the biggest things come in the smallest packages, and the Apple iPad Mini is one of them.
My primary learners deserve assistive technology in the classroom to help with their learning disabilities.
As a teacher, is it my job to create interactive and engaging learning experiences for my first grade students.
My second graders class LOVES it when technology is incorporated into our lessons because it allows them to learn at their own pace and explore differently. Sometimes pencil and paper just aren't the best way for them to always learn.
I am requesting two Apple iPad Minis in our classroom which would allow my students to complete independent tasks and assist during small group instruction. Small group instruction calls for having center time that allows my students to engage in different activities and resources. Using the iPad Minis can assist my students to practice writing, drawing, listening to reading materials, math games, and coding just to name a few things.
This is the perfect assistive technology we need for guided practices because it is small, light, and a helpful tool to help my students grow.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
