This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kindergartners are so eager to soar and discover new learning, they just need the right tools to fly.

My kindergartners are hard-working, motivated, loving students who just need resources so they can succeed.

They live in the highest poverty area with violence surrounding their homes. When they come to school, they are safe and excited to learn. All students at my school receive free lunch. My students used to have technology as part of their prep classes, but due to a budget cut they do not get to use a computer or iPad.

My Project

My students would be so excited if they had the opportunity to use iPads during small groups. It would give them an opportunity to use the iPads to create videos, document their learning, track their progress, and manipulate their own learning. iPads in our classroom would be used not only as a learning tool, but as a discovery tool.

Having iPads with cases would be the best opportunity given to my students.

I want to be able to provide them with as much technology as possible because most of them tell me they do not have computers or tablets at home. I really need to provide my students this opportunity because it will definitely change their lives.
