This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work in a gifted magnet school centrally located in our district. Our school allows students from anywhere in the district to attend. Our student population is diverse in this urban area. My students all have the same goal in mind which is to learn as much as they can this year through research and projects.

My students are full of energy and creative ideas.

They are in need of tools to bring out their creativity and put it on display. With your support that will be possible.

My Project

The materials that I chose will allow our students to compete in the First Lego League Competitions. With the experience of teamwork, and the ability to dive into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics it allows students to prepare for the STEM field that is increasing in the need of workers. The Lego Education website has many lesson plans to help teachers prepare for real-world situations to present to students that they can use the Evo Expansion Pack to solve, create, and innovate. When students are given the opportunity to explore they can develop, establish, and cultivate many career ready skills.
