My students need supplies and items that will help them have an organized, comfortable and inviting classroom with routine and structure and where every students has the same items needed to help their success. WE need a binding machine, cushions and more
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work at a Title 1 school in Charlotte, NC. All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. A majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background. Many come to school with little to no school supplies. Despite many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful. I want my students to love learning and have amazing experiences in the classroom.
Every minute of our day is used to maximize their learning, and I want to maximize their potential as well!
My Project
This year my focus in on students being comfortable and enjoying their classroom learning environment. Keeping their desks and classroom around them organized will help to make them feel successful and keep their minds on their learning. We work with technology centers and the use of headphones is vital to them getting what they need. Having some flexible seating options helps make the room exciting for them to learn.
Donations to my classroom will help my students feel successful and important.
