My students need new pencil sharpeners to use every day to keep our minds and pencils sharp.

My Students

Our students live in a very small isolated community in rural Oregon. At our school the parents are asked to donate $25 to buy school supplies, many of our parents are not able to send in this money. The teachers are required to buy supplies for their entire class.

As a teacher, I often do not have the funds to buy the original start-up supplies and I never seem to have the money this time of year to purchase replacement supplies.

My students desperately need new supplies to finish off the year. We would love to have a new electric pencil sharpener to help us have sharp pencils every day.

My Project

Our students need electronic pencil sharpeners that work, to keep their pencils sharp throughout the day. We have old school pencil sharpeners that do not work and create quite the disruption during the day as students just need to sharpen their pencils. We would love to have two electric pencil sharpeners that would help us keep working all day, without interrupting the rest of the class and without us having to leave our seat three times a day to sharpen pencils. We are so excited about the possibility of getting pencil sharpeners that actually work, for our class So we can complete our writing and math assignments. . No more Broken pencils !!
