Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the most important centers in PreK is the block area, but with these manipulatives their creativity goes beyond the wooden blocks. Learning the letters can be a challenge for the preschoolers, matching numbers with amounts is a skill that my students need as well.
However, everything turns fun and easy with these wonderful locks that make the learning process feel like a game or a challenge.
The translucent pebbles allow them to build images, patterns, explore different color combinations. The sticky pieces are great to create interesting structure that defy gravity or weight. The marble maze is always a great tool to approach science and develop concepts like speed and factors to support it.
This is why these resources are a great addition to our classroom. With these items my preschoolers can improve their language, Math, Science, Art, and Fine Motor skills in a very amusing way.
