Mindfulness Matters

Help me give my students mindfulness tools for our calming corner and supplies for our butterfly science unit.

My Project

I'm using gift cards to fund this project! I'm hoping to equip my students with some mindfulness tools they can use during specific times of the day to help them deal with anxiety, worries, or conflicts.

I'm also hoping to use some new science and reading tools to help foster a caring classroom community where every student feels engaged and exited to learn.

The mindfulness tools will go into our classroom break station for students to access when they need some time away to regroup. The butterfly net and supplies will help my students learn about life cycles and give them an opportunity to take care of living things as a community. The building magnets and magnet wands will be used to encourage collaboration amongst classmates and also to infuse some fun into small group reading/phonics time.
