Help me give my students classroom supports to help them engage in mindfulness activities. The song bowl will assist students with attention and mindfulness while they are engaging in classroom activities.
When students are in 5th grade they are dealing with a great deal. This was compounded by the struggles many students have endured over the last two years as we have dealt with the repercussions of a pandemic.
Mindfulness is an important tool to support students and their learning.
Using positive quotes, and engaging students with a reassuring sound like a song bowl will serve as a signal for a transition to a new activity in a calm soothing way. The ability for students to have a tranquil activity like coloring mandalas will also relax the students and give them the opportunity to regroup and be ready for learning.
