This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I recently attended a Mindful Schools workshop on Mindful Communication in the Classroom, and found it incredibly inspiring and helpful. The next workshop is about Self-Compassion and Resilience, two key life skills needed in education right now.

As a teacher, I need to develop my mindfulness practice in order to support my students to develop their own skills.

In the 2nd workshop, I am eager to learn more about their SEL curriculum through a lesson study. I hope to continue learning about effective SEL and mindfulness practices with your help!
