My Students

I have thirty-one active students. They are very creative and like to have fun. I want to put their active minds to work to create meaningful work. They enjoy reading and writing and are very smart. They need engaging, creative, and fun lessons that will fit their needs and these projects should help. They are IB learners, and I would love to provide flexible seating as well as math support.

My students love movement and need to be given options.

They really push and challenge themselves. I would like to be able to reach all of my students with all of their individual needs and learning styles.

My Project

These items will help me provide a mindfulness garden for my class as well as other classes who would like to use it. The garden will be located near my classroom and will allow students to have an area where they can relax. The items listed will help the students, teachers, and parents relax by listening to the natural sounds around them, feeling the calming breeze, and being outside with nature. The wind chime and spinner will allow students to relax and listen to the wind around them. They can focus on their inner thoughts to calm down and relax. The trees and bird sign will help them relax with nature and their surroundings. The fountain will also help them relax by listening to its calming properties of the water dripping, seeing the water and rocks, and feeling any breeze blow over it. All of these items will help me create this mindfulness garden for this wonderful school and its students.

This mindfulness garden will help students be present in the moment, be aware of their surroundings and their own thoughts and feelings, and it will help them calm down and relax.

School is a stressful place for some and I want to try and relieve the stress and anxiety by being able to provide a place where they can truly relax.
