I have 12 Kindergarten and 10 PreK students in my public Montessori classroom. Each child brings to class their excitement, greatness and love of learning! My classroom is filled with diversity, culture and many different experiences.
We are dedicated to guiding and growing greatness in all children.
In the classroom each child makes decisions about their learning based upon their individual strengths. We focus on high achievement and equity for all students. We build trusting, positive, and open minded relationships.
My Project
I will be using the yoga mats and supplies to teach my students Mindfulness to help them self regulate and be more aware of themselves and their learning. We will also be using the rattles as a calming, community building, and focusing activities. We will connect mind, body and soul.
These tools will teach learners to focus on their individual strengths to inspire confidence.
Mindfulness will meet the needs of all students through reflective, inquiry based practice. Mindfulness develops social/emotional awareness and skills, it promotes relaxation and self regulation. It also fosters physical fitness and character development. These tools will be educating heart, mind and body.
